Loop a YouTube guitar lesson, one hard bar at a time

Paste a YouTube link, or drop in an MP4 of your own, mark the part you can’t play yet, and PennyGroove plays it on repeat with a count-in before each pass and a rest after. Slow it down while your fingers learn it, then let the speed trainer bring it back up to tempo.

How to loop part of a video

  1. Open the lesson. Click YouTube link and paste its address, or press Ctrl+V anywhere on the page. For a video file, click Open video or drop it onto the page.
  2. Mark the section. Drag across the timeline, or press [ and ] while it plays. Fine-tune the start and end with − and +.
  3. Set it up. Choose a count-in, a rest and how many reps, pick a speed, and press Start practice.
  4. Save it. Name the loop and save it. Next time it’s one click away in the library.
